A reflection on Psalm 105
“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!” Psalm 105:1
It is Thanksgiving. I am reminded today that God is the One who acts and who blesses, and to Him alone belong praise and thanks. My response to God’s goodness is thanksgiving then proclamation of HIS deeds “among the peoples,” both spoken and in song, and then I glory in HIS Holy Name, seeking Him “continually” while remembering what He has done.
So many of my days are spent looking forward to what’s next. May today at least be a day to look behind at how God has demonstrated His faithfulness in my life. I thank Him for my Savior, Jesus. I thank Him for my husband, Travis, and for my children. I thank Him for my parents who I get to spend Thanksgiving with this year. For friends, employment, a home, health and wellness, and for God’s continual presence in my life- for all these things and so much more I say to God be the glory, great things HE has done!
